Turnstiles
Automated Security Design can offer the following types of turnstiles:
Full Height Turnstiles
These are manufactured to exacting standards within the UK and offer a secure & efficient way of controlling pedestrian access. They are available in the following formats:-
- Single or double
- 90 Deg (4 arm) or 120 Deg (3 arm)
- Fail locked or fail unlocked
- Galvanised or powder coated finishes
- Internal or external
* Optional overhead canopies and matching pedestrian gates & infils available. These turnstiles are ideally suited to high security applications where only authorised personnel may enter.

The key to a reliable turnstile is the ratchet mechanism. Our system is based on a design which dates back over 20 years, which has progressively evolved into the design currently used.
All our external powder coated turnstiles benefit from the following painting process:-
- Fully degreased
- Shot blasted
- Hot zinc sprayed
- High build polyester powder coated
Half Height Turnstiles
We are pleased to offer a comprehensive range of half height turnstiles and matching pedestrian gates & infill rails. These are ideally suited to indoor locations such as company receptions, sports club entrances & tourist attractions.
Half Height Turnstiles – These are available is stainless steel or powder coated finishes.The rotor arms can also be ‘Broken Out’ or automatically dropped in an emergency. Half Height Gates – Available as a manual or fully automated unit and in finishes
to match the turnstiles.
Roadblockers
Roadblockers are specifically designed to stop all unauthorised vehicular access. As with our full height turnstiles, they are manufactured within the UK and offer unrivalled performance.
Three standard types are available, each can be ordered in 2m, 3m, 4m or 5m widths, depending upon the specific application.
300mm High – This is designed to stop all cars and most 4x4’s and is suitable for medium to high security applications. 500mm High – This is designed to stop all cars, 4x4’s and most commercial vehicles and is suitable for high security applications.800mm High – This heavy duty unit is constructed from thicker steel and includes additional cross beams & bracing. It is designed to stop all vehicles and is specifically designed for very high security sites incl. cash centres, government buildings, etc.
To ensure we include for all the related works, including ground works & cabling, we recommend that a full survey is performed prior to a quotation being produced.
